Certificate Courses for BCom Students: Which Ones Employers Can Verify

Certificate courses for BCom students ranked by what an employer can verify: NISM, Tally, Power BI, SWAYAM credit, the GST practitioner catch, and real fees.

The best certificate courses for BCom students are the ones a stranger can verify: a NISM exam for markets and wealth roles, a TallyPrime certificate for accounts, and Power BI for reporting roles. The GST practitioner route is one to watch, not one you can book today. A certificate an employer cannot check is only a receipt. Pick the few that carry weight, prove them with one piece of real work, and your BCom starts building a high-income skill portfolio, which is what opens better income opportunities and moves you toward earlier financial freedom.

The short version

  • Rank certificates by who issues them, not by how long the syllabus is. Exam bodies and software makers beat private institutes.
  • Cheap and real: NISM exams at Rs 1,500, a free SEBI Investor Awareness Test, and free SWAYAM courses that may count for college credit.
  • Compare fees and time the exam: Power BI courses are listed from Rs 4,800 to Rs 77,000, and a NISM certificate lasts 3 years, so a first-semester exam lapses around graduation.
  • Next step: choose one lane (accounts, markets, or analysis), take one certificate, and build one project with it.

Certificates make the most sense during your BCom, when fees are small and your weekly schedule has room. The short answer

If you are looking for certificate courses for BCom students, do not start with a list of "top 10". Start with a question: who will vouch for this certificate if a recruiter phones them? NISM will vouch for its own exam. Tally Education will vouch for its own course. Your local institute will vouch only for itself.

Students ask the same things again and again: which course goes with BCom, is Tally with GST enough, is SAP worth it, what can I do beside my degree. The honest answer is that the subject matters less than the issuer and the proof you build. Advertised fees for the same subject vary so much that a student can easily pay several times more for a paper that a Rs 1,500 exam or a maker's own certificate would have beaten.

The Ministry of Education's AISHE 2021-22 survey counts about 4.33 crore students in higher education, 78.9% of them undergraduates, and puts commerce at 13.3% of undergraduates. That is roughly 45 lakh commerce undergraduates at one time. A certificate a recruiter can check in one click sets you apart from that pool; one they cannot check does not.

Common advice that misleads

  • "Do any computer course, it looks good on the resume."
  • "Tally with GST alone gets a job."
  • "The more certificates, the better."
  • "Placement guaranteed, so the fee is worth it."

The 4-Rung Certificate Ladder

The 4-Rung Certificate Ladder is a simple way to judge any certificate before you pay. Higher rung means more weight with an employer and usually a lower fee. Use it every time.

Rung 1: heaviest weight
Exam-body and regulator certificates

NISM (linked to SEBI), NACIN for GST practitioners

A test set by a body that the industry or the tax system already trusts. Anyone can check that you passed. Low fee, real exam, no marketing.

Rung 2
Software-maker certificates

Tally Education, Microsoft, Google

The company that made the tool certifies that you can use it, often through authorised centres. Employers who use that tool understand the badge at once.

Rung 3
University-run online courses with credit

SWAYAM and NPTEL, under UGC rules

Free to learn. If your own college approves the course, it can count toward your BCom credits, not just your resume.

Rung 4: lightest weight
Institute and platform completion certificates

Private coaching institutes and course platforms

Issued by whoever sold you the course. Useful only for what you learned and built, never for the paper itself.

Honest take

A degree still matters: many jobs and professional routes need it, and the BCom itself is what makes you eligible for things like GST practitioner enrolment. The trap is degree-only thinking. A BCom with one verified certificate and one finished project beats a BCom with six course papers.

Rung 1: exam-body certificates (NISM and GST practitioner)

NISM, the National Institute of Securities Markets, runs certification exams for the securities industry. The exams are online and remote-proctored, and the certificates stay valid for 3 years from the exam date. NISM's own FAQs for the Mutual Fund Distributors and Equity Derivatives exams say students and other interested people can sit them, not only people already working in the industry. NISM gives free soft-copy study workbooks after enrolment.

Exam Fee Format Useful for
NISM Series V-A: Mutual Fund Distributors Rs 1,500 plus payment-gateway charges 2 hours, 100 questions, pass mark 50%, no negative marking Wealth and mutual-fund distribution, banking sales, financial-advisory support roles. NISM says students and other interested people can sit it.
NISM Series VIII: Equity Derivatives Rs 1,500 plus payment-gateway charges 2 hours, 100 questions, pass mark 60%, 25% negative marking Broking, dealing, and trading-desk support. NISM says students and other individuals can sit it, not only people already in broking.
NISM Series XV: Research Analyst Rs 1,500 plus payment-gateway charges 2 hours, 100 marks (80 questions plus 5 case sets), pass mark 60%, 25% negative marking Equity research and investment analysis. NISM writes this exam for people working as research analysts and does not mention students, so confirm that registration is open to you before you pay.
SEBI Investor Awareness Test Free 60 minutes, 50 questions, pass mark 50%, valid 2 years A no-cost first try to see if markets interest you at all.

Fees, formats and pass marks are from NISM's own exam pages, checked in September 2026. A new attempt needs a fresh registration and fee, so practise on mock tests before booking. Confirm the current fee on NISM before you pay.

Why this rung matters for your income. A Rs 1,500 exam that opens wealth, broking, and research doors is one of the cheapest steps in a BCom student's high-income skill portfolio. It works best when you can also explain markets in two clear minutes. Series V-A also opens mutual fund distribution, where income can grow with a client book you own instead of a salary band. Distributors usually need a separate registration, so check the current rules first.

The GST practitioner route is different. Rule 83 of the CGST Rules lists a graduate or postgraduate degree in Commerce, Law, Banking, Business Administration, or Business Management as one accepted qualification, plus basic conditions such as Indian citizenship. You apply on the GST portal, and enrolment depends on passing an NACIN exam within the notified time. Secondary sources describe it as a computer-based test of 100 multiple-choice questions, 200 marks, with 100 needed to pass and no negative marking.

Check this before you pay any GST trainer. The last NACIN sitting on record was on 12 December 2019, and a December 2025 report says no sitting has been held since. Sources also differ on exactly who must sit the exam. Confirm the current status on the GST portal and the NACIN site. Learning GST is still useful for accounts work. A trainer who promises a practitioner certificate by a fixed date has no way to promise that.

Honest take: the scalable path

If the exam reopens, GST practitioner enrolment is one of the few certificate routes that can grow into your own small practice: you can serve several small businesses at once and add services such as return filing and reconciliation. It scales through repeat clients and referrals, not through the certificate. Expect a slow start while you win your first few clients, and expect to keep learning as rules change.

Rung 2: software and vendor certificates

These matter when the employer uses the tool. A small accounting firm cares about TallyPrime. A finance-reporting team cares about Excel and Power BI.

For the full Excel, SQL, and Python sequence and how to judge each course, read best computer and data science courses for commerce students. For the wider skill stack beyond certificates, see best skills for commerce students to learn. Here the question is narrower: which certificate papers are worth holding at all.

Rung 3: SWAYAM and NPTEL, and college credit

NPTEL courses on the SWAYAM portal are free to learn. The optional proctored certification exam is Rs 1,000 per course, as SWAYAM's NPTEL page states. The bigger prize is credit. UGC's 2021 credit framework lets universities allow up to 40% of the courses in a semester to be taken through SWAYAM, up from 20% earlier. In July 2026 UGC urged institutions to map SWAYAM courses for the July semester. But your own university must approve the course and decide how credits transfer.

Honest take

Reports have found that many universities list SWAYAM courses but few students use the credit route. That means you may have to ask your department directly. Walk in with one course name and one question: "Will this count for credit if I pass the exam?" Get the answer in writing.

Rung 4: institute certificates and the fee trap

Local and online institutes sell courses in Tally with GST, Advanced Excel, Power BI, and SAP FICO. These can teach you real skills. The certificate itself carries the least weight, and the fee range for the same subject is huge.

Power BI
Rs 4,800 to Rs 77,000 across 14 providers

Henry Harvin provider comparison, March 2025

About 16 times apart; the middle provider is about Rs 20,400

Tally with GST
Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 in one guide; Rs 6,000 to Rs 20,000 in another

BCIT World, 2023; SelectYourUniversity, August 2025

About 3 times apart in the wider range

SAP FICO basics
Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000

Entri, 2026

About 2 times apart

These are advertised prices from provider and course-guide pages, not proof of quality. The Power BI middle value is the median of the 14 listed starting fees. Course-guide pages also print fresher-salary figures with no employer data behind them, so ignore those. Naukri Campus (January 2025) puts overall BCom fresher starting pay at roughly Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh a year across all industries and roles, not per certificate.

A higher fee may buy live practice, a mentor, or a project review. Ask for exactly that. If the extra money buys only a different logo on the paper, choose the cheaper one.

Certificates compared: cost and what they prove

Certificate Issued by Cost What it proves Rung
NISM Series exams NISM Rs 1,500 plus gateway charges for the common ones; some cost Rs 3,000 You passed a market-regulation exam anyone can verify. Valid for 3 years from the exam date, then renew before it lapses. Rung 1
GST Practitioner enrolment exam NACIN, for enrolment under the GST system Fee set by NACIN. Secondary sources report Rs 500 per attempt at the 2018-19 sittings. Training fees vary widely Enrolment on the GST portal, then an NACIN exam within the notified time. The last NACIN sitting on record was 12 December 2019, so check the portal before paying any trainer. Rung 1, but not bookable today
Tally Bookkeeper Professional Certificate Tally Education, on Coursera Listed as free to enrol, with a Coursera subscription option; centre courses cost more TallyPrime, payables and receivables, GST entries: about 125 hours across 3 courses. Tally Education says its certificates last for life and can be verified on its site. Rung 2
Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) Microsoft Priced by country. Microsoft's page shows no rupee figure; one guide lists USD 165 and Indian guides quote roughly Rs 4,000 to Rs 8,000. Confirm on the booking page Power Query, data modelling, DAX, dashboards. Renews every 12 months, free, through an online assessment. Rung 2
Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate Google, on Coursera Coursera charges USD 49 a month after a free trial; it lists 6 months at 10 hours a week Spreadsheets, SQL, Tableau and a capstone. The 75% job-outcome figure comes from a 2022 Coursera survey of US graduates. Rung 2
NPTEL / SWAYAM courses IIT-run NPTEL on the SWAYAM portal Learning is free; the optional proctored certification exam is Rs 1,000 per course Proctored exam result. Counts for credit only if your college approves the course. Rung 3
Local institute certificate (Tally + GST, Advanced Excel, SAP FICO, Power BI) The institute that sold the course Power BI courses are listed from Rs 4,800 to Rs 77,000 across 14 providers, about 16 times apart Attendance. Any proof of skill has to come from what you build. Rung 4

Prices change. Confirm each on the issuer's own page before paying.

When to take each one: the validity clock

Some certificates carry an expiry date that starts on the day you pass. A NISM exam passed on day one of a three-year BCom lapses on graduation day. NISM also says a certificate that has lapsed cannot be renewed. It can be kept alive by passing again or completing NISM's continuing professional education before the date.

Safe to take early
  • SWAYAM and NPTEL courses that your college approves. Credit is the goal, and they teach you what you like.
  • Tally certification. Tally Education says it has lifetime validity.
  • PL-300, once you have two dashboards. It renews every 12 months at no cost through an online assessment.
Time it close to your job search
  • NISM exams. Valid for 3 years from the exam date, so book them in your last two years.
  • SEBI Investor Awareness Test. Free, but valid for only 2 years.
  • Anything sold as "lifetime" by an institute. Ask who checks it when an employer phones.

What each lane costs against your budget

The planning guide used here keeps spending on any one certificate near 10% of a yearly education budget. On Rs 1,00,000 a year, that is Rs 10,000. Each verified route and one institute route, measured against it:

Lane Route Cost Share of Rs 10,000
Markets SEBI Investor Awareness Test, one NISM exam (Series V-A or VIII), one NPTEL exam Rs 0 + Rs 1,500 + Rs 1,000 = Rs 2,500, plus gateway charges About 25%
Analysis Microsoft Learn (free), PL-300 exam at the third-party estimate, one NPTEL exam Rs 4,000 to Rs 8,000 + Rs 1,000 = Rs 5,000 to Rs 9,000 About 50% to 90%
Accounts and tax Tally Authorised Learning Centre course at the listed range, one NPTEL exam Rs 6,000 to Rs 20,000 + Rs 1,000 = Rs 7,000 to Rs 21,000 About 70% to 210%
For comparison: a middle-priced institute Power BI course Course fee only, no exam fee About Rs 20,400 About 204%

Arithmetic uses NISM's Rs 1,500 fee, SWAYAM's Rs 1,000 exam fee, the third-party PL-300 estimate, and the advertised ranges in the fee table above. The markets lane fits the budget guide four times over. A middle-priced Power BI institute course alone costs about twice the guide. Going above it needs a specific reason, such as a credential the target job asks for.

Which certificate fits which job goal

Lanes are ordered by how far income can grow beyond a salary, not by exam prestige. Analysis skills carry into consulting and freelance reporting work. Markets can grow into a client book you own. Junior accounts work is the most exposed to automation of data entry, though tax practice can still grow if the GST route reopens.

Business analyst, MIS, reporting
Excel, then Power BI

Free Microsoft Learn material first. Take PL-300 only after you have built two dashboards. The sibling guide on computer and data courses covers the full Excel, SQL, and Python sequence.

Best for: students who enjoy numbers more than filing.

Watch out: PL-300 needs yearly renewal, and a badge without a dashboard behind it convinces nobody.

Markets, broking, wealth
NISM exams

Start with the free SEBI Investor Awareness Test, then a Rs 1,500 NISM exam that matches the role. NISM Series V-A is the mutual fund distributor exam, one of the few routes where a BCom student can later build an own client book. Distributors usually need a separate industry registration too, so check the current rules.

Best for: BCom students who like markets and can handle sales targets.

Watch out: NISM certificates last 3 years from the exam date, and a lapsed one cannot be renewed.

Accounts, tax, audit support
TallyPrime plus GST knowledge

Do a TallyPrime course from a Tally Authorised Learning Centre, or the Tally Bookkeeper course on Coursera. Your BCom is one of the degrees Rule 83 lists for GST practitioner enrolment, but the NACIN exam that enrolment depends on has not been held since December 2019. Build GST knowledge now and treat the practitioner certificate as a possibility, not a plan.

Best for: a fast route to accounts executive or article-assistant work.

Watch out: many local courses teach button-clicking. Ask to see a full-year entry set you can practise on.

Still unsure
One free, credit-friendly course

Pick one SWAYAM or NPTEL course your college accepts. It costs nothing to learn, tests your interest, and may count for credit.

Best for: first-year students who do not want to spend before they know.

Watch out: credit counts only if your university approves that exact course before you start.

A semester-by-semester plan for three years

This is a planning suggestion, not a rule. If your college runs a longer programme, stretch it. Some people finish a stage in a few weeks, others need a full semester, and both are fine.

  1. 1
Year 1: Learn free, spend nothing

Ask your department which SWAYAM courses it accepts for credit. Finish one. Take the free SEBI Investor Awareness Test. Learn spreadsheet basics from free sources. The aim is to find which of the three areas (accounts, markets, analysis) you can sit with for hours without boredom.

  2. 2
Year 2: Pick one lane and pay for one certificate

Choose the lane from Year 1. Accounts and tax: a TallyPrime course from a Tally Authorised Learning Centre, or the Tally Bookkeeper certificate on Coursera. Markets: study for one NISM exam and book it late in Year 2 or in Year 3, so its 3-year validity covers your job search. Analysis: a Power BI or Excel course with a project. Keep the total near the budget guide in the cost table above.

  3. 3
Year 3: Turn the certificate into proof

Build one piece of work you can show: a year of entries in TallyPrime for a small family shop, a one-page market note, or a sales dashboard from a public dataset. Then apply for internships with the work attached, not only the certificate. If you also want CA, CMA, or CS, this is the year to plan that separately.

How to check a certificate before you pay

Good signs
  • The certificate comes from the tool-maker, exam body, or a university-run portal.
  • An employer can verify it online.
  • The course ends in something you build.
  • Refund terms are written before you pay.
  • You can speak to two past students.
Warning signs
  • "Guaranteed job" or a fixed salary promise.
  • Fee jumps if you do not decide today.
  • The syllabus lists tools but no project.
  • The certificate name copies a famous brand but the issuer is the institute.
  • They will not name any past student.

Pass The 3 Gates before you pay for any certificate

Three real-world tests. Skip a certificate if you cannot pass all three.

Gate 1 Proof of skill

Try the free version first. Watch a current YouTube tutorial series from a working accountant, do a free Microsoft Learn module, one NISM study chapter, or one SWAYAM lecture. Finish a small task with it before you spend money.

Gate 2 Proof of communication

Say in under two minutes which job this certificate is for and why that job needs it. If your answer is only "it looks good", wait.

Gate 3 Proof of value

Speak to three people doing that job, such as an accounts executive, a broking associate, or a reporting analyst. Ask if the certificate mattered in their hiring or if a test task did.

When a certificate is the wrong tool

Some goals need a qualification, not a certificate. Statutory audit in India needs CA. Company secretary work needs CS. A certificate cannot replace them. If a professional route is your goal, the honest advice is in the guide to best courses after BCom for high salary.

Honest take: CA competes at every stage

CA is not one hard exam. It is three. In the May 2026 sitting the pass rate was 20.09% at Foundation (90,217 appeared), 8.47% for both Intermediate groups (33,304 appeared), and 14.07% for both Final groups (23,776 appeared), as reported by PW Live from ICAI results. Over the last seven sittings the Foundation rate ranged from 14.78% to 21.52% (CAPapers). Passing one stage does not make the next easier, so treat CA as a long bet with a plan B built from the certificates above.

Check your budget. As a strict planning guideline, not a law, try to keep the spend on any single certificate near 10% of your yearly education budget. On Rs 1,00,000 a year, that is about Rs 10,000, which covers several NISM exams and free courses with room left. Going well above that needs a specific reason, such as a credential your target job requires.

Government exams like bank PO and SSC are another path. Certificates add little to them, so keep any certificate spend small and build a parallel skill in case one attempt does not work out.

What AI changes for BCom certificates

AI tools already help with formula writing, first-draft reconciliations, and dashboard layouts. That lowers the value of a certificate that only tests memory of button clicks. It raises the value of judgment: spotting a wrong figure, explaining a variance, and checking what the tool produced. Learn one workflow where AI speeds up your accounts or analysis work, and keep a record of how you checked its output. Verified human judgment is the layer that stays useful.

  1. 1
    Now

Use AI to write Excel formulas, explain a GST return line, or draft a reconciliation. Check every figure against the bank statement or invoice before it goes anywhere.

  2. 2
    Next

Build one repeatable workflow, such as monthly reconciliation prep, with a written checklist of what you verify each time. That checklist is proof of judgment.

  3. 3
    Later, as tools mature

Data entry is the sub-task most likely to be automated first. Value moves to review, explaining variances to a business owner, and advice. Skills in that layer are the ones that can raise your pricing, and no tool guarantees it.

Mistakes to avoid

01
Buying a "job guarantee" certificate

No institute can guarantee a job at a fixed salary, and the salary figures on course pages usually come with no employer data behind them. Ask for placement lists you can call and check.

02
Paying for a certificate you cannot verify with the issuer

Tally certificates come through Tally Authorised Learning Centres and can be checked on Tally Education's site. NISM and Microsoft issue their own. Before you pay a centre, confirm it is an authorised one and ask for the verification link. Paying several times the going rate for a paper with a different name is the most common waste.

03
Stacking four certificates in one semester

Half-finished courses show on a resume as restlessness. One finished course with one project beats a list of five.

04
Taking a NISM exam just to have it

A NISM certificate helps when you are applying to broking, wealth, or banking-sales roles. For an accounts job it adds very little. Match the exam to the job you are applying for.

05
Assuming a free online course counts for credit

Credit transfer depends on your own university approving the course. Ask before you enrol, not after you finish.

06
Booking a NISM exam in the first semester

The certificate is valid for 3 years from the exam date, and NISM says a lapsed certificate cannot be renewed. Passed in the first semester of a three-year BCom, it lapses around graduation, just when you start applying.

Questions BCom students ask most

Is Tally plus Excel enough to get a job after BCom?

It is enough to start applying for junior accounts roles, not enough to stand out. Add proof: a year of entries for a small shop, a bank reconciliation, and a one-page summary of what you found. Then the certificate backs up the work.

Which items should I learn with Tally, like GST and Excel?

Learn TallyPrime entries first, then GST entries and returns knowledge, then Excel lookups and pivot tables for checking the data. The Tally Bookkeeper course on Coursera already covers accounting basics, payables and receivables, and GST.

Can a BCom graduate become a GST practitioner, and is the exam compulsory?

A commerce degree is on the Rule 83 list. Enrolment depends on an NACIN exam, but the last sitting on record was in December 2019. Confirm the current status on the GST portal and the NACIN site before you pay anyone.

What is the scope of a banking certificate after BCom?

A private institute's banking certificate is Rung 4. The regulated route is a NISM exam, and bank jobs themselves are decided by recruitment exams, not by a certificate. Use the certificate to prepare for sales and advisory roles.

Is NISM study material free?

NISM gives free soft-copy workbooks after enrolment for the mutual fund distributor exam. Printed copies are sold separately.

What are the best certification courses along with a BCom?

It depends on the lane you pick: NISM for markets, Tally for accounts, Power BI for reporting. Use the lane cost table above to check what each costs.

What to do next

This week, do one thing: choose your lane and open one free resource. Take the free SEBI Investor Awareness Test, try a free Microsoft Learn module, or ask your department for its SWAYAM list.

Choosing between accounts, markets, and analysis is a career decision, not a shopping decision. You can get a structured second opinion on your lane and on building a high-income skill portfolio for earlier financial freedom through career guidance, or start with the career and skill assessments.

FAQs on certificate courses for BCom students

Which certificate courses are best for BCom students?
Choose by the job you want. For accounts and tax work, a TallyPrime course plus GST knowledge. For markets and wealth roles, a NISM exam such as Series V-A or VIII at Rs 1,500 each. For analyst and reporting roles, Excel then Power BI, with the PL-300 exam only after you have built two dashboards. Exam-body and software-maker certificates carry more weight than an institute's own paper.
Can I do a certificate course during BCom, or should I wait until after?
During is better for the cheap ones. Free SWAYAM and NPTEL courses, the free SEBI Investor Awareness Test, and one Rs 1,500 NISM exam fit easily around classes. Save bigger spending until you know your lane. Doing it before graduation also means your resume carries proof when internships open.
Are short-term courses for commerce students worth the money?
They are worth it when the course ends in something you can show and the certificate can be verified. They are not worth it when the fee is several times what another provider charges for the same subject, or when the only promise is placement. Advertised fees for Tally with GST, for example, range from a few thousand rupees to Rs 20,000 depending on the institute.
What are the best professional courses for commerce students, and are certificates part of that list?
Professional courses usually means CA, CMA, CS, ACCA, CFA, and similar. Those are long qualifications with their own exams. Certificates are smaller and quicker, and they add a working skill on top of your BCom. They do not replace a professional qualification if your target role legally needs one, such as statutory audit.
Can a BCom graduate become a GST practitioner?
Rule 83 of the CGST Rules lists a graduate or postgraduate degree in Commerce, Law, Banking, Business Administration or Business Management as one accepted qualification, along with Indian citizenship and other basic conditions. Enrolment is on the GST portal and depends on passing an NACIN exam within the notified time, which the rules set at two years for most enrolments. The catch is that the last NACIN sitting on record was 12 December 2019, and a December 2025 report says none has been held since. Check the GST portal and the NACIN site for the current position before paying any trainer.
Do I need a finance background to take a NISM exam?
No. NISM's own FAQs for the Mutual Fund Distributors and Equity Derivatives exams say students and other interested people can sit them, not only people already working in the industry. The common papers cost Rs 1,500 plus payment-gateway charges, and NISM gives free soft-copy study workbooks after enrolment. The certificate is valid for 3 years from the exam date.
Will my college give credit for an online certificate course?
Sometimes. UGC's 2021 credit framework lets a university allow up to 40% of the courses in a semester to be taken through SWAYAM, up from 20% earlier, but your own university must approve the course and decide how credits transfer. Ask your department for its approved SWAYAM list before you enrol.
Is the SEBI Investor Awareness Test really free, and does it count for anything?
It is free on NISM's site: 50 questions in 60 minutes, pass mark 50%, and the certificate is valid for 2 years. It shows basic market literacy, not a job qualification, so use it to test your interest before you pay for a NISM exam.
Do certificates expire, and when should I take them?
Some do. NISM certificates last 3 years from the exam date and a lapsed one cannot be renewed, so take the exam close to your job search. PL-300 renews every 12 months through a free online assessment. Tally Education says its certificates have lifetime validity.
How do I know if a certificate course is genuine?
Find out who actually issues the certificate. If it is Tally Education, Microsoft, NISM, or an IIT-run NPTEL exam, the issuer has a verification route. If the institute issues its own paper, ask whether an employer can confirm it online, ask for refund terms in writing, and ask to speak to two past students.
